Hello!
Thank you for taking a minute to read about me……
I was born to old parents! I am the youngest of four and to keep me busy (and to keep their sanity) my parents purchased art supplies for me. They bought everything the local five and dime had to offer: paints, brushes, markers, construction paper, pipe cleaners, glue, glitter etc. My mom also found things around the house and yard like old buttons, the card board toilet paper rolls, leaves, pussy willows, acorns, cotton balls and she would even to the local paint store and get old wall paper books for me to cut up and use as I pleased. I was a lucky girl!
That was my start and has been my path through my life-drawing, painting and collage. I fell in love with textile art after doing some embroidery on wool felt. Then, many years ago, I saw a needle felted mouse at a gift store and purchased it. I had never seen anything like it. I kept it on my dresser and promised myself I would learn how to create these adorable little creatures someday. And I did! It was hard to find information about the art of needle felting but I kept digging and found some online shops that had tutorials. I also found an online course on Spun Cotton ornaments and completed that. Sometimes I like to combine the two when creating. And that brings me to where I am today, happily creating little mice, bunnies, cats along with others. Miniature little friends each 100% handmaid and one of a kind.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I would love to hear from you! Feel free to email me with any inquiries about my work.
